We all know the sensation of hosting these events, the tangible warmth of connection, and delicious food and drinks bringing everyone together. We also each know the feeling of hearing the door click shut as the last guest leaves and that sign of relief as you turn to face the task of cleanup. I hope this painting brings you into that moment: full hearted, a favorite record spinning, smoke as you blow out the candles, the clink of dishes in the sink.
